Superstar Rajinikanth is all set to share the screen space with former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev in his upcoming movie ‘Lal Salaam.’ The actor took to social media to announce along with a photo of himself with the former Indian skipper.
Thalaivar wrote in the caption, “It is my honour and privilege working with the Legendary, most respected and wonderful human being Kapildevji., who made India proud winning for the first time ever..Cricket World Cup!!! #lalsalaam #therealkapildev.” The photo seems to be from the set of the movie. Kapil is dressed in grey track pants and a white t-shirt, while Rajinikanth is decked up in a white achkan and brown shoes.
Rajinikanth plays Moideen Bhai in ‘Lal Salaam’ directed by his daughter Aishwarya. The film stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles. The music was composed by AR Rahman.
The actor was last seen in the 2021 Diwali release ‘Annaatthe.’ He will be next seen in ‘Jailer,’ directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. With music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, ‘Jailer’ is scheduled to release on August 10, 2023. Meanwhile, 'Lal Salaam’ aims to release theatrically later this year.
