MPL was paying the Indian board Rs 65.00.000 per match and £900,000 as royalty for a three-year deal. The current sponsor, Killer Jeans’ contract will expire on May 31, post which the Adidas deal will take effect. In fact, Rohit Sharma & Co are likely to be wearing the new kits a s soon as the World Test Championship final against Australia at The Oval from June 8-11. While Shah didn’t reveal the duration or amount of the deal with Adidas, according to sources, the BCCI’s deal with the sports brand is for five years.
