Vodafone Idea’s loss widened in the third quarter of FY23 as the company continues its struggle to broaden realisations from customers, while looking at ways to boost network and launch 5G sites.
The company, which recently gained after the government decided to pick up 33% equity into it in lieu of interest payments for delayed statutory payments, said loss in the December quarter stood at £799 million against £759.5 million in the second quarter. The average revenue per user (ARPU), a key metric to measure health of telecom companies, stood at Rs 135 against Rs 131 in the second quarter.
