India will soon have a high-speed train system with first-rate amenities for passengers. In March, the nation will acquire its first Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS), which will go from Sahibabad on Ghaziabad to Duhai Depot and include amenities similar to those of a plane. The 17-km long running stretch of the train will cover Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai and Duhai depot at an operational speed of 180 km per hour. Tickets for the rapid rail ride will be available via cards and mobile devices. According to media sources, the section's track has been laid and the overhead line equipment installation is virtually complete.
Medical assistance on rail
Medical help will be available on board the train as well. There is also a stretcher facility set up in the final rapid train car. In addition, a different coach will be set up just for patients who are sent from Meerut to Delhi in order to provide transportation at a lesser cost.
Like in the DMRC, separate coaches have been arranged for women and separate seats have been prepared for the physically disabled passengers. These seats can be folded when not in use.
Facilities for standing passengers
All passengers, whether they are standing or seated, will find the rapid train system to be convenient. With adjustable chairs and unique setups for standing passengers, the RRTS offer some relief.
As per the reports, amenities on the train include Wi-Fi, mobile-USB charger, large windows, integrated AC system, automatic door control system, luggage storage, driver interaction system, dynamic route map, CCTV and infotainment system.
