DMK neta kills jawan over improper use of tap water

During an argument over the improper usage of drinking water, a DMK council member, his sons, and relatives thrashed an Army jawan at Pochampally in the Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu till he died. The councilman and eight other people were detained by police. The deceased M Prabhu of Nagojanahalli and his brother Prabhakaran were both jawans and were on leave. The trouble started when panchayat councillor R Chinnasamy chided Prabhakaran’s wife Priya for washing clothes at a public drinking water tap. Later that day, Chinnasamy, his three sons, and five other family members went to the homes of the two jawans and attacked them with iron rods. After being treated for head injuries at a Hosur private hospital, Prabhu died.
