The INDIA bloc parties carried out their intention to boycott 14 news anchors from various news stations as the first stage of a graded response to news presenters they have accused of "bias and communalism."
The list, tweeted by Congress’s Pawan Khera, which may be pruned or expanded over the coming months, was finalised by the INDIA bloc media committee a day after the coordination committee met at NCP patriarch Sharad Pawar’s residence.
According to sources, if the indicted journalists and the outlets they work for don't change their ways, the parties will take stronger measures, including a general boycott of allegedly biased networks, a strong protest to their owners, and the denial of advertisements to them by states run by members of the anti-BJP front.
