Bollywood’s newly-weds Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra hosted a glittering wedding reception in Mumbai on Sunday, which saw the who’s who of the movie industry in tow. The couple got married on February 7, in Jaisalmer’s Suryagarh Palace. The couple’s wedding was attended by their close friends including Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra, Shahid Kapoor, Mira Rajput and Juhi Chawla.
Karan, who shares a great bond with Sid-Kiara, penned a note for the newlyweds that read, “I met him a decade and a half ago… Silent, strong and still so sensitive… I met her many years after… silent, strong and so sensitive in equal measure… Then they met each other and I realised in that moment that these two pillars of strength and dignity can make an irreplaceable bond and create the most magical love story together… Watching them is a fairytale that is rooted in tradition and family…”
The filmmaker added, “As they exchanged vows on a mandap of mohabbat everyone around them felt the pulse… felt the energy… I sat proud, elated and bursting with only love for the two of them! I love you Sid… I love you Ki… May today be your forever.”
For the reception, Kiara opted for a beautiful dress paired with a huge neckpiece and earrings. Her makeup was minimal with hair tied in a low bun. Sidharth looked dapper in a suit.
Kiara and Sidharth starred together in the biopic ‘Shershaah’. On the work front, Sid is working on his debut web series ‘Indian Police Force’, directed by Rohit Shetty. He is also starring in action film ‘Yodha’ with Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna.
Kiara, who was last seen in Disney+ Hotstar's ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ with Vicky Kaushal, also has the film ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ with Kartik Aaryan due out later this year.
