Just when we thought that the publishing industry was struggling, here is a woman who has come-up with fresh new perspectives and is much in demand by the authors these days. Anamika Pandey a resident of Vellore, who is also an environment lover, works as a 'Publicist', one of the new-age professions in the world. With a deep expertise in marketing, acquired through education and many corporate jobs, Anamika runs a self-owned company Progress Wings that provides unique services of helping authors explore newer opportunities with their books and reaching newer markets. This has eventually generated huge sales of books for the authors.

Just a few years into the profession, Anamika has already provided services to 203 books written by a talented community of 129 exceptional authors who are based in US, UK, Australia and Germany apart from India. The 32 authors out of this are from the United Kingdom. It is important to note that there are 9 authors of Indian origin among those in the UK. In fact, some books have also become bestsellers after the efforts of Anamika's team. Today authors from around the world are reaching out to Anamika through references, word of mouth and social media.

However, what makes Anamika unique is her love for the environment and the effort she takes to protect the environmental damage made by humans. According to Anamika, who hails from Mumbai, "everyone knows that millions of trees are cut every year to generate paper. So to compensate for books sold, I have taken a pledge to plant at least 20 trees for each book project we take up. In keeping with the pledge, my company has already formally planted 2,100 trees in the last one year only - with pictures and other details properly documented". "Tree-plantation" as Anamika puts it, "looks a simple thing, but, to do it on a regular basis and consistently allocating time and money for a non-profit from a professional growing business with daily targets is an arduous task, and that is why most businesses do as a one-time project". Anamika is whole-heartedly supported by her husband Shivam Gautam in the mission to do their bit for the environment and nature. In fact, he himself is an avid animal lover who has been helping stray animals from his own funds for many years.

As many others, Anamika had her own set of challenges. Times were indeed difficult when she was struggling to find her first client. However, the breakthrough came not from anybody from his own country, but from a German lady writer. After Anamika contacted her, she decided to assign the project of her book just after one online video call. The grand success of that assignment gave wings to the venture. Since then it has been no looking back.

In the coming times, Anamika wishes to go beyond doing her bit for the environment. She plans to set-up a small forest over a 26,000 sq.ft. land is already in the final stages. The place will be a home for all the needy animals and a piece of land pumping oxygen into the environment trying to reduce pollution on this planet.
