The spiritual, devotional and musical Janmashtami on 6 September 2023 witnessed a historic celebration at Dhamecha Lohana Centre. The event was hosted by Diti and Ketan Ramniklal Kotecha family for 29 consecutive years.
Rameshbhai Oza Pujya Bhaishri, Param Pujya Sahebji of Anoopam Mission and Pujya Mahant Shri Devprasadji Bapu of Shree Anandabawa Seva Sanstha Jamnagar graced occasion with their presence.
Well-known Indian singer Mayaben Deepak who travelled from India, sang beautiful prayers and bhajans - compositions related to Lord Krishna, captivating the audience with her melodious voice. Her songs were dedicated to various aspects of worshipping Lord Krishna.
After the tilak and garland ceremony, Pujya Sahebji said, “The way Ketan and Ditiben have been organising Janmashtami for the last 29 years, they deserve big compliments. This is a true effort to strengthen our culture and values.”
Pujya Bapu ji said, “It seems that Bhaktibhav is now transferring from East to West. God is ready to give you, but the question is, what are you offering him.”
Bhai Shree said, “Krishna is the eternal power. Our soul is the source of light.”
Yajman of the celebration, Ketan Kotecha said, “This celebration is witnessing Triveni Sangam as three prominent sants- Pujya Sahebji, Pujya Bapuji and Pujya Bhaishree graced this event.”
Jeevan, son of Chandni and Sachin and grandson of Ketan and Diti was dressed as ‘Kanudo’ and
Ruhi, little daughter of Ridhi and Dharam put up an impressive performance.
Lohana Community North London (LCNL) President Meena Jasani presented the vote of thanks and Sanjay Rughani conducted the event.
