Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury held its first ever Summer Fair on Sunday 9 July 2023 which saw over seventeen hundred people from the Temple and local community attend. Many councillors from the Boroughs of Brent, Barnet and Harrow also attended to play their part in this magnificent charitable drive along with The Worshipful the Mayor of Brent Councillor Orleen Hylton and The Worshipful the Mayor of Barnet Councillor Nagus Narenthira.

The Summer Fair was organised to bring the community together and make a positive impact on lives. It created a wonderful opportunity to foster unity, cultural exchange, and support incredible causes through fundraising initiatives.
The event featured a wide range of exciting games and activities suitable for all age groups from bouncy castles, bumper cars and trampolines to face painting and henna stalls. The crowd also had the opportunity to be entertained by the world-famous Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band and Dance Academy whose performances left all mesmerised; a truly colourful, melodious, and cultural event topped off with an array of Indian street food and beverages.
At the heart of this lively and joyous event was the sole purpose of raising funds for incredible causes. Over £15,000 was raised from this Summer Fair which was sponsored by over 30 local businesses. All the funds raised will contribute towards the Mandir’s vital charitable causes for the London community including food drives for the homeless and gift donations to local hospitals and hospices. The Mandir community’s devotion of time, effort and donation is through the inspiration of their late spiritual Guru, Ved Ratna Acharya Swamishree Maharaj and guided by their current Leader, Acharya Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj.
