Akshay Jain, a student from Ahmedabad, has topped the CA final exam results conducted in May. Kashish Khandhar, also from Ahmedabad, passed the CA intermediate test with a score of 648 out of 800, earning him the 13th-All India rank (AIR).
Jain, who secured 616 marks out of 800, is originally from Pali in Rajasthan. He came to Ahmedabad for schooling and decided to pursue the CA course based on his cousin's recommendation. He had previously achieved AIR 1 in the CA intermediate exam as well.
According to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), 1,805 students appeared for the CA final exam in Groups 1 and 2, with 406 passing the exam.
Students who attempted both group tests had a 9. 83% success rate. Six hundred and fifty eight out of 2,504 students who took the CA intermediate test passed it. 0.75% of students who attempted both group tests were successful. 8.33% of CA final test takers passed, while 10.24% of CA Intermediate exam takers passed.
The combined success rate for both groups in the Ahmedabad chapter of ICAI was 9. 83 per cent, lower than the previous year's success rate of 16. 34%. Experts have noted that this year's results have shown a decrease in success percentage compared to last year.
