Officials stated that the ski resort of Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district will host the third edition of Khelo India National Winter Games from next month. According to reports, the third edition will begin on February 10 and end on February 14. Around 2000 participants from across the nation will congregate in Gulmarg this year to compete in a variety of sports. According to them, snow shoe races, ice skating, ice hockey, skiing, nordic skiing, snowboarding, ski mountaineering, and ice stock are the primary attractions. Sarmad Hafeez, the secretary of tourism, presided over a meeting at the civil secretariat in relation to the event's preparations. Addressing the officers during the meeting, Hafeez said the games will not only promote sports activities in Jammu and Kashmir, but will also go a long way in attracting the tourists, both domestic and foreign. The secretary emphasized upon the government departments and private agencies to put in place all arrangements in advance for the successful conduct of event.
