Chandok appointed as corporate vp of Microsoft India

Bengaluru: Puneet Chandok is the upcoming corporate vicepresident of Microsoft India and South Asia, commencing his role from September 1. Chandok's background encompasses leadership experience at AWS, where he spearheaded the company's operations in India and South Asia.

He collaborated closely with enterprises, startups, digital businesses, and SMBs to facilitate technical debt reduction, foster agility, and drive innovation. Chandok's previous roles include a partnership at McKinsey in India and Asia, as well as significant regional and global positions at IBM. He will take on operational responsibilities from his predecessor, Anant Maheshwari.

Chandok's mandate involves overseeing the integration of Microsoft's activities across South Asia, spanning nations such as Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. This strategic move aims to enhance Microsoft's footprint within the region while intensifying its industry-focused initiatives through a customer-centric approach driven by transformative AI technologies. Chandok said, “As India expands its own digital public infrastructure, I believe that this mission is more relevant here than ever before, and I am thrilled to be joining the One Microsoft team to make this mission a reality.”
