The 65th Grammy Awards wrapped up on Sunday, and as each year, it was a fashion lover’s paradise. While several stars walked the red carpet in stunning outfits, Cardi B stole the show in a surreal outfit. The American rapper has not been nominated for an award this year. However, she did present one.
Her outfit was a Gaurav Gupta masterpiece, sculpture-like couture in electric blue. The gown featured pleated structural features that ebbed and flowed from her shoulders, over her waist and to the top of her head. The dress also featured a sleek skirt and a dramatic train. The brilliantly designed ‘Gaurav Gupta Amorphous Shapeshifter Sculptural Outfit’ transformed into infinite shapes, bringing Cardi’s representation of the air element to life.
This isn’t the first time Cardi and Gaurav collaborated. She showcased his design in her music video ‘No Love.’
Beyonce led the 65th Grammy Awards with nine nominations and took away four trophies over the weekend. She is now the most-awarded solo artist in Grammy history. The star now has 31 all-time Grammy Awards.
