Suriya has been frequently spotted by paps in Mumbai recently, videos of which have surfaced on social media over the last few months. If the grapevine were to be believed, the actor and his family would have relocated to the city for their children’s education. It is also being said that Suriya and his wife Jyotika have invested in a property worth £7 million in the city.
Suriya has two kids - a daughter Diya (15), and a son Dev (12). It is believed that it’s been a little over six months since the family shifted base to Mumbai. A media report published that the couple purchased a 9000-square feet lavish bungalow in a gated community in Mumbai. He has been spotted in the city multiple times over the last year and was once seen requesting paps not to click pictures of his children.
Last seen on screen in the Tamil film ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan,’ Suriya is filming his next yet-untitled Tamil project with director Siva. He recently opted out of Bala’s Tamil film ‘Vanangaan.’ Suriya and Bala were set to work together for the third time in the project. They had reunited after two decades, and the project had recently gone on the floors.
However, Suriya later opted out of the project. Filmmaker Bala said he had doubts about the story and whether it'll suit Suriya after making some minor changes. “I wanted to direct a movie called Vanangaan with my brother Suriya. But due to some changes in the story, I now have doubts whether this story will be suitable for Suriya. He has full faith in me and in this story. It is my duty as a brother to not cause any embarrassment to my younger brother who has so much love, respect and trust. So, both of us have discussed and unanimously decided that Suriya will withdraw from the movie. It was a decision he made in his best interest, although he was saddened by it,” Bala said.
Suriya was recently seen playing an important cameo in Kamal Haasan’s latest Vikram release. He played a character called Rolex.
