Sidharth Malhotra gushed about his wife and actor Kiara Advani on stage at the recently held Bollywood Hungama Style Icons Awards ceremony. The couple was seen at the event held in Mumbai over the weekend. Sid looked suave in a black Manish Malhotra blazer paired with a grey printed shirt. He won Most Stylish Actor for ‘Shershaah’ and took to the stage to accept the award.
In the clip shared on Twitter by the actor's fan page, Sidharth said, "Thank you Bollywood Hungama. This is actually my second award post my marriage... pehla wala acting ke liye tha aur dusra wala style ke liye hein, (the first one was for acting and now the second one is for style) so I think my wife will be happy... she has a good actor who is extremely stylish. This one goes to her and to all the stylists and designers everywhere who are making me look cool!" Soon after, Kiara took to her Instagram Stories to react to Sidharth's speech and wrote in the caption, “This man has my whole heart (red heart emoticon).”
This isn’t the first time the actor dedicated an award to his wife. At an awards event held earlier this month, Sidharth and Kiara made an appearance together. Sidharth, who had won the Best Actor award for ‘Shershaah,’ made sure to thank Kiara while accepting his award there too. He said, "Saving the best for last. My talented co-actor was so convincing in her role that I ended up marrying her. And she is right here. I am so happy and proud to call her my wife today - Kiara.”
Sidharth and Kiara married on February 7 at the Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer. While Sidharth wore a sherwani with gold embroidery, Kiara Advani wore a heavy ivory and pink lehenga for the wedding. The couple also hosted a grand Bollywood reception in Mumbai on February 12, attended by numerous Bollywood stars.
On the work front, Sidharth will be next seen in his debut web series, 'Indian Police Force.’ The Rohit Shetty project also stars Shilpa Shetty and Vivek Oberoi. He also has a film, ‘Yodha’, in which he plays the titular role.
