India robustly denounced the visit to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir by OIC secretary general Hissein Brahim Taha, saying he had become the “mouth-piece of Pakistan” and communicating to hope he will refrain from not joining the country in promoting cross-border terrorism against India. The Centre also stated the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) had already lost its credibility by taking a “blatantly communal, partisan and factually incorrect” approach on issues.
“We strongly condemn the visit of OIC secretary general to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and his comments on J&K during his visit to Pakistan. Let me restate that OIC has no locus standi in matters related to J&K, which is an integral part of India. Any attempt of interference and meddling in India’s internal affairs by the OIC and its secretary general is completely unacceptable,” said Arindam Bagchi, spokesperson of the ministry of external affairs.
He added “It's secretary general has unfortunately become a mouth-piece of Pakistan. We hope that he would refrain from becoming a partner in carrying out nefarious agenda of Pakistan of promoting cross border terrorism into India, especially in J&K.”
