Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor could not hide his happiness returning back home with wife Neetu after a prolonged treatment of 11 months and 11 days. It was in September last year that Rishi left for the US along with Neetu and son Ranbir Kapoor for cancer treatment. 'The 102 Not Out' actor is now cancer free and is visiting his friends in Mumbai.

Expressing his happiness on his arrival in the country, Rishi took to Twitter and wrote: "Back home... after 11 months 11 days. Thank you all." Neetu also revealed the cute surprise that Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni had in store for Rishi on his return. Sharing a picture of a balloon with "Welcome home Dad" written on it, Neetu wrote on Instagram, "This simple ballon has so much Warmth Love and belonging (sic)."

Rishi also visited Neil's house for Ganpati darshan. His pictures sitting with Neil Nitin Mukesh's little daughter Nurvi, his singer father Nitin Mukesh and filmmaker brother Naman Nitin Mukesh surfaced on the Internet. Welcoming Rishi, Neil wrote: "Nurvi with both her Daadus (Grand dads). Dearest Chintu uncle visited home today for Ganpati Darshan. All of us are just so happy to have met him and hugged him tight. Welcome back Chintu uncle. God Bless you always." Reportedly, actor Alia Bhatt, who is currently in relationship with his son Ranbir Kapoor, also visited the Kapoor household for a celebration. The actor had also paid several visits to the senior actor in the US along with Ranbir. The two have just returned from their Kenya vacation, just in time for Rishi’s arrival.

Before the couple departed for India, actor Anupam Kher (who has been in New York on work for a while now), shared a farewell message for Rishi and Neetu. He wished love and luck and said that he will "terribly miss" them. "Dearest Neetu and Rishi, here is wishing you a safe trip back to India after being in New York for almost a year. I have mixed feelings. I am happy and sad at the same time. I am going to miss you terribly. We had a great time together. Thank you. Love and prayers," Anupam Kher wrote.

A slew of family, friends, and celebrities from across the world, including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Karan Johar, have dropped by the Kapoors over the past months.
