According to the think tank Quilliam, who researched 58 gangs found that 84% of their members were Asian, and 70% were of Pakistani origin.
The think tank analysed 58 convictions of grooming gangs since 2005. The results revealed that 222 out of the 264 offenders were Asian, 22 were black, 18 were white while two were of unknown ethnicity.
The Chief Executive of Quilliam, Haras Rafiq stated, “I thought the problem was being overstated but it isn't- this is what we found. Facts are facts.”
The reports also claimed that the “regressive left” denied to accept that a problem existed “and threatens to label those who oppose this blinkered vision as 'racist' or 'Islamophobic'”.
