An aspiring athlete, Idris Mansoor (40), from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire is hoping to raise funds for a noble cause by participating in the 2015 London Marathon.

Mansoor will join several other runners on 26th April 2015 to support the charity Visually Impaired Children Taking Action (VICTA). This charity supports blind and partially-sighted children, young people and their families across the UK.

Idris Mansoor's roots lie in Gujarat, India. When asked what prompted him to take part in the marathon, he replied, “€œI love to challenge myself, push the boundaries of the human body and see what it is capable of. Plus I want to beat my last year'€™s time of 3 hours 52 seconds.”

Mansoor has already raised his fundraising target, yet he is keen to go the extra mile. He stated, “€œI€'m hugely grateful to everyone who has sponsored me so far.”
