Mansukh Mandaviya, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and leader of all-party committee for direct flight between London and Ahmedabad, has also written a letter to India’s civil aviation minister Ashok Gajapati Raju regarding the resumption of direct flight. In his letter he mentioned that State Government of Gujarat and many social organizations have already requested the ministry to resume direct flight between Ahmedabad and London by Air India. In past Air India operated its flight in this sector but now they have stopped causing untold hardship to people visiting UK and those visiting Gujarat. He said that in his opinion there would be sufficient passenger traffic load in this sector. He requested the minister to take urgent steps so that direct flight can resume at the earliest.
