On Friday 19th of September at the Grosvenor House, the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women will be charity of the year at the prestigious Asian Achievers Awards. For those lucky guests who are attending, you will have the fantastic opportunity of bidding on some rather special items, generously donated.

On the evening the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women will be raising money for a new and innovative project in Maharashtra, India. The aim of the project is to provide 1,000 rural women with business incubation, access to loans and business growth opportunities, which in turn, will see benefits for both their families and communities.

We’re sure that many of you will agree, this is a great cause to raise some money and we can all have fun while doing so. You will have the chance of showing your support by donating money on the night!

Although the Asian Achievers Awards will produce great entertainment for guests, the highlight of the evening will be the auction hosted by Lord Jeffrey Archer. With special donations from the likes of Tracey Emin and Katherine Jenkins, the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women has put together a collection of outstanding prizes that will be sure to fuel competitive spirits on the night. So if you want to experience a holiday of a lifetime, have Tracey Emin’s latest watercolour painting hanging in your hallway, or fancy picking the brains of Cherie Blair over a curry, the opportunity is there for the taking!

If you are after a journey through paradise then this is the prize for you! Your journey will begin being chauffeur driven from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to the Ritz-Carlton hotel. Acclaimed chefs will oversee all meals served in your palatial penthouse suite, with a personal butler attending to your every need. After two nights there, you will travel overnight on the Eastern & Oriental Express to Penang, where you will stay in the Presidential Suite. Recapturing the elegance and style of the Twenties and Thirties you will be transported back in time on this journey and enjoy lively entertainment and exquisite food. Once in Penang, you will board Dr Yeoh’s private helicopter to his renowned Pangkor Laut Estates, an Island of pristine beauty. Guests will spend four nights in one of the most exclusive private residences and will have a personal butler, personal chef, access to spa facilities and exclusive use of Dr Yeoh’s private yacht. Dr Yeoh assures bidders that his guests will enjoy the full compliments of his hospitality and be accorded the finest and most exclusive treatment every step of the way. This breath-taking journey is one to bid on!

Auctioneer Lord Jeffrey Archer, an international bestselling author, has offered up a unique prize of his own. This is your chance to become a part of literary history, and have your name, or the name of a friend or loved one appear as a character in Jeffrey’s next book. Readers around the world could know you as a rich, successful businessman, a back-stabbing villain, a chauffeur or a five-times divorcee…or maybe even the wife of a Prime Minister. But beware, the final decision on whether you’re a goodie or a baddie lies with Jeffrey.

If reading books isn’t your thing then maybe sport is. Fancy playing cricket with a signed bat from the India Captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni or knocking around a football wearing an Arsenal signed t-shirt?

Or if you prefer fine foods and wine, Cherie Blair has offered the highest bidder the fantastic chance of dining with her and five guests at Gymkhana in Mayfair. Guests will enjoy a three course menu of contemporary Indian cuisine using seasonal British ingredients, accompanied with sommeliers choice of wine pairing. This will be the perfect opportunity to pick the brains of an accomplished woman and philanthropist.

We expect the night to get competitive. Make sure you bring your cheque book!
