China's Jiangsu province to collaborate with Punjab

Chandigarh: Jiangsu province of China has principally agreed to collaborate with Punjab for a 'Twin Province' project for promoting fresh water fisheries in the state as a part of state government's crop diversification programme. Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal met with Governor of Jiangsu province Li Xueyong and pointed out that currently the production of fish in Punjab was six tons per hectare whereas the state government aspires to the double this production in the coming three years.
