Babbar Khalsa chief brought to Chandigarh

Chandigarh: The Chandigarh police brought Ratandeep Singh - the de facto chief of Lahore-based terrorist outfit Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) to Chandigarh on a production warrant. The top BKI terrorist is a prime accused in the sensational bomb blast that occurred in the parking area of Sector 34-A market complex on June 30, 1999. Ratandeep had recently been arrested by the Punjab police from the eastern Uttar Pradesh town of Gorakhpur. "We have brought the accused for eight days on a production warrant, and will start interrogating him in our case of the blast in Sector 34," said a senior officer.
