Chandigarh: Under fire from ally BJP, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) government in Punjab scrambled to restore the security cover of former BJP MP Navjot Singh Sidhu, less than 24 hours after the four personal security officers (PSOs) attached to him were withdrawn. "All the securitymen returned to my house this morning. The disappearance (of those men) on Tuesday was mysterious and their return is equally mysterious. The vendetta politics must stop now," Sidhu said.
The move to withdraw his security was slammed by BJP leaders in Delhi and Punjab, including state president Kamal Sharma.
