From September 2015, the University of Law in Guildford (ULaw) will be launching a new scheme for students on its Legal Practice Course. ULaw has committed to offer graduates half of their tuition fees (up to £7,000) if they do not find employment within nine months of graduating.

Earlier this year, the University of West Scotland became one of the first universities to look at introducing a reimbursement system for students who did not complete their degrees.

The CEO of ULaw expressed that students nowadays do not only want a degree, but want a guarantee that they would find employment after the end of their course. He said, “For law graduates, this means one thing: securing a training contract or a full-time job upon graduation. Our experience in training highly-skilled law practitioners gives us the confidence and the assurance that our graduates will be in employment within nine months.”
