The 13th annual Prideview Cricket Cup has achieved a new fundraising milestone this summer, collecting over £45,000 for One Kind Act. This record-breaking sum, raised at the event on July 17 at Merchant Taylor’s School, pushes the cumulative donations from all Prideview events past the £300,000 mark, supporting vital poverty alleviation projects in health and education, both in the UK and internationally.
This year's tournament also served as a special celebration of the Prideview Group’s 40th anniversary, gathering a distinguished array of long-standing clients, partners, and supporters. The day was elevated by the presence of cricketing legends Chris Gayle, renowned for his explosive batting, and former England fast bowler Darren Gough MBE, who made special guest appearances.
Six 6-a-side teams battled for the coveted Prideview Cricket Cup, with teams benefiting from the coaching and support of former England players including Owais Shah, Saj Mahmood, Alex Tudor, Paul Nixon, Ali Brown, and Mark Stoneman. Ultimately, bridging lender REIM Capital lifted the trophy, with property investors East-way Estates securing second place. Comedian and former BBC Asian Network presenter Tommy Sandhu expertly hosted the day, maintaining a lively and engaging atmosphere.
A significant portion of the record fundraising total was attributed to the success of both live and online auctions, bolstered by the generous contributions of attendees and supporters. Nilesh Raj Patel, Principal at The Prideview Group, reflected on the occasion and conveyed thanks to all who supported them throughout their journey.
The Prideview Cricket Cup remains a key fixture in the property industry’s summer calendar, seamlessly blending competitive sport, charitable fundraising, and valuable networking. The event is set to return in 2026.
