India celebrated a double triumph at the Hylo Open Super 500 badminton tournament, with PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen winning the women’s and men’s singles titles in straight games.

Former world champion Sindhu defeated Denmark’s eighth seed Line Højmark Kjærsfeldt 21-12, 21-14 in 39 minutes to claim her second title of the season. She had earlier won the Japan Open in July and finished runner-up at the French Open last week.

Sindhu said she focused on giving her best and winning every point, adding that taking an early lead helped her control the match.

Lakshya completed India’s double by beating Jonatan Christie 21-17, 21-10 in the men’s final.

The victory earned world No. 8 Sindhu 9,200 ranking points, boosting her chances of qualifying for the season-ending World Tour Finals.

Sindhu said the back-to-back strong performances had boosted her confidence and credited her team for supporting her through difficult periods. She added that she felt back to her best but remained focused on improving and making smarter decisions.

The second seed entered the final with a 6-1 head-to-head advantage over Denmark’s Line Højmark Kjærsfeldt. Sindhu controlled the match with sharp net play, deceptive strokes and powerful smashes, taking the opening game 21-12.

She maintained her dominance in the second game despite a brief fightback from Kjærsfeldt, sealing the title 21-14.
