Bharatiya Pravasi Divas

Tuesday 28th October 2014 07:34 EDT

First of all I  must thank to the  organisers who gave me the opportunity to attend Regional Pravasi Bharatiya Divas conference which was held at Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London on 17th and 18 th October 2014.

It was very nice of Indian High Commissioner to organise this event which was well attended by over 400 people from different backgrounds from Lords , MPs, Councillors , community leaders and Active individuals who have their hearts open to India
.
Such events play very important part in creating good understanding and respect for each other. My request to the organisers is that there should be  less speeches but more time should be given to public members to raise the issues and ask questions. People who read their speeches can easily circulate their written information to the people thus save the time.
My second request for all future  events is that we should also talk about the people who live in shanties and foot baths in Cities without any water and sewerage facilities. These are in millions not only in India but many other countries as well. This item must be included in the Agenda. I am sure it will help us to find the solution but if we do not even talk about it  and discuss ,then who will do it?
