It is an established fact that Jesus of Nazareth suddenly disappeared from home when he was 12 and came back at the age of 30. This period of 18 years is known as ‘the missing years’ of his life. On his return he began his religious mission which is now called Christianity. Where was he? There is plenty of evidence that he spent all these 18 years in India. Indeed a number of books have been published with authentic evidence to prove that he was in India.
Anyone with some common sense would recognise whatever he preached was based on what he learnt while he was away from home. In those days the most prevalent religions in India were Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism. It should be obvious whatever he learnt was from these religions.
The Christians always talk about his preaching and teachings but maintain a complete silence about where he was during the missing years. Perhaps they are uncertain about the effect it would cause to the originality of Christian teachings and their authenticity. It would have been better if Jesus himself acknowledged the source of his teachings. In the modern world people are asking questions to find the truth about everything. It would be better for all concerned if Christians were to readily and openly accept that Jesus was in India and he got his spiritual insight in that country.
