Rupanjana Dutta, Asian Voice’s talented Associate Editor, wrote a splendid full-page report last week on how Indian voters here are shaping Britain’s future.
The meeting, held in the House of Lords, included panellists like Lords Parekh and Bilimoria, Britain’s Indian deputy high commissioner Dr Virander Paul, MPs Keith Vaz and Bob Blackman, Runnymead Trust director Omar Khan, Asian Voice publisher-editor CB Patel and other luminaries. They also answered questions from the audience.
Discussions spanned everything from the growing shift in voting patterns among Asians to why the Labour Party failed to impress Indian voters in the recent general election.
