Corruption spread like wild fire, especially in sport organizations like IOA and FIFA. Mercifully IOA is free of corruption after strenuous efforts decade ago. Hopefully with the unexpected resignation of re-elected FIFA President Sepp Blatter and arrests of so many of his cronies, FIFA could and should become clean, honest and true representative of football crazy world.
Perhaps Michel Platini, French President of UEFA is the right person to take over, if he gets support of his country France who surprisingly voted for tainted Blatter along with ten other European nations.
Qatar, who surprisingly won the bid to stage 2022 tournament should now be stripped off world cup staging rights, especially considering its abominable human-rights record with death of some 1500 migrant workers mainly from Indian sub-continent.
There is not an ounce of humanity or decency in Qatar towards migrant workers who are employed mainly by lackey Western companies building grandeur stadiums and infrastructure, slave labour tolerated in 21st Century!
While fiduciary Europe spends billions rescuing migrants from Mediterranean Sea, they turn a blind eye to these hard working Asian workers trying to earn a decent living wage but are exploited by ruthless, esoteric Westerns Construction firms with the conniveal of Qatar government. Britain, with holier than thou attitude, encourages corruption by giving aid to corrupt regimes.
