Silly Miliband

I thought Labour campaigned vigorously in the weeks leading up to the recent general election, with leader Ed Miliband growing in confidence as polling day approached.

Then he made a fool of himself by carving six of his pledges in stone and declaring he would put the slab on display in the Downing Street garden when he became prime minister. Labour supporters must have regarded this as a juvenile stunt and turned elsewhere in droves, paving the way for a well-deserved and impressive Conservative victory.
