I read your article 'what does the prolonged political gridlock' hold for our future (AV 24 Jan, pg 7) in Asian Voice. I agree that the Tory party perhaps hasn't understood the importance of the ethnic community in Britain. For example their take on immigration is quite demotivating. Let us look at Britain's rich list. This year the Hinduja brothers topped the list- making them the richest. Hindujas are originally immigrants. They have created many jobs in Britain and outside. Lets look at some such examples such as- Anil Agarwal, Sir Anwar Pervez, Dr Rami Ranger, Lord Gulam Noon, Lord Raj Loomba to name a few.
They are immigrants who have created so many jobs for Britons. It is unfair to have a singular approach to the subject of immigration. South Asian immigrants cannot claim benefits until they are citizens of this country and they cannot live in this country unless they have a job. So it is wrong to attack immigrants like this. I strongly believe if the Tories want to win back their seats, they need to have a certain clarification.
