Xmas blessings

I was very happy to read your Christmas special coverage on page 14 of Dec 19th edition and thought of writing my views on this subject.

On November 27 it was PA (Professional activity-day off to students) in school so our 10 year old grandson Jaiden came to our place and we thought of decorating the Christmas tree whilst listening to Christmas songs.

This small Christmas tree and ornaments has special significance and attachment in our life. We bought it 39 years ago when we first lived in one bed room apartment and since than every year we put up same tree with old ornaments and some new as we consider as our part of our family members in good time and bad time to give us comforts.

We have seen ups and downs but one by one we overcame all hurdles, gave university education to our two daughters. They both married, having good jobs and children and settled down in their own homes. Me and my wife worked for banks and are now enjoying retired life.

As usual we wish everyone a very Merry Christmas (not holidays as per politically correct people) and Happy New Year just as the same as we used to wish back home in India irrespective of their religion and nobody, then or now, complained.
