When Trump meets Kim

It is good to know that the war of words between two men who are wielding nuclear power, Donald Trump of the USA and Kim Jong-Un, the North Korean leader, seems to have come to an end. The summit meeting between these two men which is scheduled for the end of June will hopefully result in both sides shelving their atomic bombs in favour of peaceful co-existence. This will certainly go towards making the world a safer place for us, our children and the posterity. These two leaders were at logger heads not too long ago.

Kim had said in a televised statement, that North Korea could test a hydrogen bomb over the Pacific Ocean. In retallation, Trump had said that his “nuclear button was much bigger and more powerful and it worked”. We were worried that by the end of 2018, some kind of nuclear strike may take place. In effect that would have meant that the future of the world and our lives, and the lives of our children’s children, the posterity, were in the hands of one or two persons. One wonders what trump cards Trump will have up his sleeve with which he will check mate Kim. However, the coming to terms of between these two leaders is good news for the world at large since the triggering of a nuclear weapon by either of these two would mean the end of the world as we know it now.
