How sad that a prominent public figure like hardworking Leicester East MP Keith Vaz should be the focus of unsavoury allegations which triggered his decision to step down as Chair of the Home Affairs Select Committee, a role he performed with distinction and flair.
He has also been a popular columnist on this newspaper for several years, interviewing interesting people every week.
Let us hope everything works out well for this icon of the Asian community.
