Tribute to His Grace Srutidharma Prabhu at Bhaktivedanta Manor

Monday 16th March 2020 11:45 EDT

His Grace Srutidharma Prabhu, a giant amongst men, was regarded by many as Britain’s foremost Hindu spiritual leader. Uniquely, he was not only hugely respected by the British Hindu community, but also by the wider community and by leaders of other faiths. That respect extended internationally.

Affectionately known as Sruti Prabhu, he devoted his life to the service of others. He was a natural leader, blessed with a capacity for sustained hard work as well as with a warm and engaging personality. He was at ease whether it be with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, successive Prime Ministers or simply everyday members of the general public.

His leadership at Bhaktivedanta Manor, one of Britain’s oldest Hindu temples, ensured that the magnificent Shree Krishna Haveli progressed from a simple idea into reality.

He will be missed not only by his family, but by so many others too. And I will miss him enormously, as a spiritual guide and as a dear friend.

Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti.
