The terrorist attack on CRPF convoy in Pulwana, Jammu & Kashmir in India, killing 42 soldiers is devastating. No wonder, the disastrous incident sent shock waves across the length and breadth of the country. Civilians, irrespective of their political and religious affiliations, held peaceful candle march and also organised ' bandhs' at various places. Many state governments, organisations and individuals have come forward to extend monetary and non-monetary support to the next of kin of our martyred army personnel.
It is very painful that in spite of all security and protection measures, these terrorists identify some lapses and succeed in committing horrendous crimes, killing and injuring innocent people everywhere. More painful is the fact that these enemies of humanity obtain the support of local people otherwise how can they acquire vehicles, weaponry and the explosives that are commonly used in such assaults.
