Your article "Reaching for the stars...." (19th Aug) was indeed heart warming, my family arrived in the UK in 1970 when "paki bashing" was rife and we were ashamed at the portrayal of India in England.
Much has changed since, I stay in India every winter for the last 15 years and have witnessed at first hand India's transformation.
What is still not acknowledged is the India Pakistan land area contains the oldest continuous civilization on Earth.
An example is the roots of the English language and its culture, in ancient India. The English term "name" na(not) mahmah(me)(sanskrit) is rooted in Aryan culture meaning, not me, but only God.
Names are given after consulting the stars by the Aryans giving the term "Astronomy" from sanskrit (As=is tara= star Namaya=to name). India has reached stars in more than one way.
