Despite the massive immigrant movements after UK’s joining EU in 1973, UK is the second largest economy in EU measured by nominal GDP and fifth largest in the world.
UK’s population in 1973 was around 56 million. Now the population stands nearly to 65 million. Downturn of the global economy and recession has taken fare share of UK’s economy. Yet it’s coping well and considerably a strong economy.
Unity is strength. As EU countries get prosperous, UK will reap its benefit. Moreover, we will be stronger together in terms of safety and security.
