Sooner or later Pakistan will break up due to its internal tensions. If any split component then applies to join India, India should be very careful before accepting.
The demography of India would change substantially. Cohesion of India and its democratic setup has survived because of Hindu tolerance. This cohesion and democracy may not survive if there is a significant change in its demography.
