The honour of being the "first Indian origin" member of the British Cabinet (Asian Voice 11-17 November), goes, jointly, to Lord Sinha of Raipur, the first and only Indian hereditary Peer, and General Maharaja Sir Ganga Singh of Bikaner, and not Ms Priti Patel, who were appointed members of the Imperial Peace Conference and the Imperial War Cabinet in 1917.
