Charity begins at home

I am writing in response to Kumudiniben's letter of 15th July, the concern i raised regarding G.P. service was in general, having read news and had information from acquaintances not specifically for us. Prior to election even P.M. had said G.P, service needed overhaul.

I appreciate her information regarding PPG of which we are aware of as patients are advised of this by letter and meeting date is notified via text. However, as she recognizes due to the shortage of G.P.s, system set in theory is not working efficiently by all surgeries in practice and elderly sick and vulnerable people experience difficult situations.

Of course, telephone consultation is most convenient and time saving for all concerned. In fact I wrote a letter to our surgery supporting that strongly because some patients objected it and doctor needed something in writing from other patients to present it to their meeting.

However, my main point was in the title of the letter – referring to `foreign aid`. ( having read 4bn to be given to Syria`. Britain paid £12bn in foreign aid in 2015 and for 2016 £13.3bn to be paid and increasing yearly further. Some conservative M.P.s, in my opinion rightly considering repeal of the legalised target.

It is not just health service short of fund, it is needed for other causes like Bhupendrabhai has mentioned in his letter of 24th June.
