It was a treat to read the column by Bob Blackman MP in this newspaper (last week) under the above heading. The MP for Harrow West has put aside the scourge of the West called “Political Correctness” and showed the rare courage from a politician to call a spade a spade. It was a pleasant experience to read the column full of straightforward and clear words without jargons and wishy washy phrases.
If the western countries and especially all their politicians adopt a similar attitude to the MP for Harrow West, the world would become a peaceful and happy place for all humanity. Unfortunately, the West’s greed for markets, minerals and money has driven them to the present sorry state which they call “Political Correctness”.
It is the reflection on the West’s collective policy failure that their citizens have even thought to seek permission to celebrate a day for a slain terrorist. Let us hope the EDM (Early Day Motion) tabled by the MP is debated in parliament and some concrete actions evolve as a result.
It is worth repeating the MP’s words. “Any fight against terrorism is incomplete without the active support from people and their elected representatives… “
