A bed of thorns

If slugs are attacking your vegetable plants, do as I do. Near your back garden fence you may find clusters of thorny weeds.

Cut up the thorny stems into finger-sized pieces and scatter them all over your vegetable patch and around plant roots, pressing them lightly into the soil.

The thorns, pointing in all directions, stop slugs from invading the beds, allowing your vegetables to grow and thrive in peace.
