Rajini won’t contest or back anyone in LS polls

Superstar Rajinikanth said he would neither contest nor support any political party in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections. He, however, asked his supporters to vote for the party “that will establish a strong and stable government at the Centre.We will not contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. Our aim is the Tamil Nadu assembly election,” Rajinikanth said, even as a meeting of district secretaries of Rajini Makkal Mandram (RMM) was in progress at his residence. He directed his his supporters to stay away from election campaigns and focus on strengthening their support base, keeping the assembly election in mind. He also warned that he would not hesitate to expel anyone who tried to make money or misuse their position in RMM.
