Bengaluru school asks Muslim teacher not to wear headscarf

Bengaluru: A newly appointed teacher in a Bengaluru school has been asked to resign for refusing to stop wearing a headscarf while on duty. Shahina, who hails from Malappuram in Kerala was recruited as the Assistant Mistress of Jubilee School in Vijinapura, Bengaluru, says she is in a state of shock after she got a call from the principal's office on her first day at work. She was allegedly told she had been replaced by someone else and asked to submit her resignation letter when she did not listen to the authority.
