It is one of the largest facilities in the Charotar area, covering an area of 18,000 square feet, and processing a high number of tests each day, according to Atul Patel. All the labs and the blood centre are housed in this special diagnostic facility. The center's convenient location near the main hospital, the cardiac centre, and the cancer centre assists the patient by allowing for simple access.
According to Dr. Mustafa, the Centre Head, the centre is one of its kinds amongst medical colleges where the lab functions as a single entity instead of different departments. It has a central common processing room and a common reporting room which allows for pooling of resources for more efficient utilization.
A NABH accredited blood centre with cutting-edge apheresis and stem cell collection equipment, the reception and collection area are located on the ground level, he continued. The third floor has the molecular facility, while the second floor houses a variety of labs and a reporting area.
