Panjab University campus has become vehicle-free from the new academic session. No student will be allowed to enter campus after 5 pm and on university holidays without permission. No outsider vehicle will be allowed, and students studying in the department of evening studies will be allowed in only on two-wheelers with a valid identity card. Teaching/non-teaching staff of PU-affiliated colleges will also be required to carry their identity cards. Registrar Col GS Chadha (Retd), said all necessary steps were being taken to make PU a 'no-vehicle zone' from the new academic session.
